Camping was so much fun when I was growing up! We started in tents, but eventually my parents got a pop up camper. I remember one weekend in particular when dad put a watermelon in the creek to keep it cold and someone stole it! LOL

Oh your watermelon story brought a smile to me. I am sure at the time your family was very upset that it was gone. Wonder if the critters took it.
