Hi, everyone!! This week's Queen for the Day is amazing NancyRuth.....woo hoo, congrats, NancyRuth!!!! I have to confess, I did not make it through all 31 pages of her gallery (what a MACHINE!) but it was a wonderful trip down memory lane....so many gorgeous projects to revisit! I fell in love with the collage and colors of this gorgeous card. My 3d elements and ribbon are on opposite ends, but the colors of pink, green and yellow tones are included here. For my card, I have used the 'Christ the Lord Background', which combines the beautiful hymn plus some design elements from various stamps and designer papers from ODBD. The background was stamped in Stazon Jet Black directly onto a pattern from the ODBD 'Shabby Rose Paper Collection', and again on white cardstock (so that I could fussy cut the flowers in the corner and pop them up.) I kept the design as simple as possible so that the powerful hymn would not be covered up. The edges were sponged and highlighted with markers before matting. Paper piercing, pearls, and baker's twine were added for finishing touches. Thanks so much for looking! Have a very blessed day!
