 | | For this week's TLC520 Embossing Folder Stamping challenge from Judy.
I had a day off today which gave me a little time to play, and I combined it with the current ODBD Sketch Challenge.
I masked off the area of the sentiment and kept it un-stamped with the leaves, to follow the sketch as closely as possible. So I used Francie's tip - stamped the sentiment, laid the card inside the embossing folder, and then drew a line around the sentiment on the top of the folder to mark where I wanted to keep free from ink. Then I followed the tutorial (see challenge thread). I've used Gelatos before and found it hard to clean them off the ef, so this time I stuck with distress inks. I added some twine, and a leaf and acorns from the same set as the sentiment. The base green layer was embossed and sanded, and both the image panel and base layer are matted on Bazzill in a dark red autumn shade.
Oh yes, I also spattered some Stormy Sky distress ink over it. |
