This card is for our color challenge (CC516), our love is in the air challenge (CAS310), and From the Kitchen (WT517). First I used the salted background technique by blending my background with the 2 pinks and after getting it wet sprinkled it with coarse salt. After drying, I felt it needed that little extra something, so I sprayed it with shimmer spritz which did soften the salt effect, but gave it a lovely shimmer. I used this piece of cs to die cut the heart and to cut and adhere a strip behind the piestra die cut strip on my panel. Assembled, popped up the heart and the sentiment strip. I am thinking this would work for valentine's day or a wedding or anniversary. Linking also to:

Wow, this is very pretty. I love the look of the salted pink heart, and the bg, for the piestra die cut. This technique makes the color look layered, or like it is gradually fading. I really love the look. This is a very pretty card. tfs.

As usual, I am jealous of prople who can make such stunning CAS style cards. The die cut panel with your shimmery heart on top is very striking. You added just the right amount of bling.

This is so cool! I love the soft effect you got with the pinks, your die is soooo great, and I love your sweet heart. A totally wonderful card! All we need is love! Hugz

I am totally in love with this card. The ombré effect from pink to Melon Mambo is gorgeous, love the heart and the background piece, and the sentiment is wonderful, too!
