This card is for our color challenge (CC516), our love is in the air challenge (CAS310), and From the Kitchen (WT517). First I used the salted background technique by blending my background with the 2 pinks and after getting it wet sprinkled it with coarse salt. After drying, I felt it needed that little extra something, so I sprayed it with shimmer spritz which did soften the salt effect, but gave it a lovely shimmer. I used this piece of cs to die cut the heart and to cut and adhere a strip behind the piestra die cut strip on my panel. Assembled, popped up the heart and the sentiment strip. I am thinking this would work for valentine's day or a wedding or anniversary. Linking also to:

Love this salted technique! It makes such a pretty heart and I love it peeking through that pretty piestra die cut! I'm so glad you brought this over to ATCAS!

So pretty, Maura. LOVE your strip of watercoloured paper behind the pretty die-cut lattice ... and the watercoloured heart --- both are so pretty!! Thanks again for joining us at ATCAS. xx
