I started this yesterday, but had to put it away until today. Yep...I had one of THOSE days. And the more I tried, the more I tried to hurry to finish, the worse it got. So.....I'm combining the sketch challenge w/ the WT and hoping my faux "burned" edges are good enough.
I used the teal ink first then added the gray ink to the edges as the usual burned ink colors just wouldn't go well with these colors and the paper is so pretty I couldn't bring myself to tear up the edges
That greeting banner was the kink in the whole works. This is actually the 3rd version. The other 2...well we won't talk about the bad things that happened, but it was tough to do because the stamp is part of a much longer one and the intricate masking and stamping was so frustrating, lol. The rest is a little stamping and a lot of die cutting.

Julie, this might have been patience draining, but it sure turned out gorgeous. I love the big, beautiful star. Pretty shades of blue. Right into my favs.

Julie, we are ALL so happy you prevailed and that we got to view this MOST amazing and wonderfully crafted card! Your ability to design is one of the things I have always been in awe of and this card is such a fine example of your usual stellar work! I have gone back to view this several times and EACH time I am treated with yet another lovely artistic addition. LOVE the color choice, LOVE the die cut star(s), LOVE the stencil work, LOVE your sponging, LOVE the subtle music image and LOVE the sentiment and its holder. Despite your challenges with this you ROCKED this beautiful creation!

I'm sorry you had such a frustrating time - I feel your pain since I made three soot panels! I've never tried with TH glossy card before, I think it goes sootier and the thin outline stamps I've had success with before didn't work on the deep layer of soot, LOL. I just love the silhouetted village at the bottom, and your wonderful layered star.
