WT504 A Christmas Wish

Poster: peeps321

This image was on my Christmas cards several years ago and I decided it was time to break it out again. I stamped it in red, wiped a glue stick over the whole thing, applied wax paper that had been crumpled, and burnished it with a bone folder. I then rubbed distress inks over it to make it look old. The frame is cut out of acrylic paper and painted with gold. I wanted this to look like an old painting.

You certainly got the look you were going for, the effect you've achieved is amazing. It's a perfect image for the challenge, and great to get another Christmas card tucked away.

That work payed off...it is so pretty adn you so made it like an old painting with a gorgeous gold frame. So neat what you did with the wax paper...cool as is too the spray under the sentiment...TFS..:0)

Beautiful vintage feeling Christmas card, Polly. Love the wide matte gold framing of the sweet vintage image of the small girl watrming herself by the fire...or wondering how Santa is going to make it through the flames. : ) The pine greenery is so prety surrounding your greeting and I love your rich colors.
