 | | This card is for Susie Australia's HYCCT challenge to make your own background paper. I had fun making this patterned paper: First I covered the design panel with white embossing paste spread over the stencil. After carefully removing the stencil, I immediately sprinkled the paste with the verdigris embossing powder. I don't know whether you can see it in the photo, but this embossing powder has sparkles of gold mixed in with the green, and it is stunning IRL. The trick here is to let the paste dry before heating the embossing powder with a heat gun.
Are you playing along with us? If not, you're missing out on the chance to lift the spirits of women battling breast cancer at MD Anderson, and also on more than $5000 in prizes from your favorite crafty companies. So what are you waiting for? Get to stamping!
You have until noon (Central Time) on November 7 to get your cards uploaded.
Thanks for stopping by.
