A quick card for Lydia's final challenge. As a young girl I read so, so many books. I'm still an avid reader to this day, when time permits and stamping doesn't get in the way. The majority of my childhood books were mysteries...Trixie Belden, Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys. And so my inspiration was the very first Nancy Drew book called "The Secret of the Old Clock". Just so you know...that book was written WAY before I was born

Me too Lee-Anne and then I moved into Agatha Christie and Rex Stout. I still love mysteries!
Love the beautiful color on your clock bg and the awesome sentiment on vellum!
Oh how fun!!! I loved Nancy Drew!!! Oh mysteries were my faves to read! My daughter has that first book! Your card is gorgeous!!! I MUST emboss with water color paper, it looks fantastic! The "Grace" sentiment is wonderful. Terrific card!

Count me among the Nancy Drew crew, Lee-Anne. They were $1 ea when I started buying them...my father would give me a $1 at the bookstore....this was in my elementary school days. Your card is a great take on the title of the first book. (I still have my collection...you can see I am a pack rat!) What memories....thanks! (of fiction...mysteries are still one of my favorite genres.)

OMG I am such a Nancy Drew ADDICT - I still have my collection! I remember saving up $3.50 for each book - they were sold in a toy shop in my town - and being so excited each time I'd saved for a new one. Greatness. Your card is gorgeous. Onto the faves board.

Oh yes I remember reading all those books from the school library. I was sad when I had read them all and the list that was on the backs of the books teased me that there were others that I was missing out on, lol.
Your technique with the embossing folder looks AMAZING!!! Love it!!

I loved Nancy Drew mysteries and would read a book a day. What a memory you just brought back. This book was one of my favorite mysteries too. I have tried to get at least one of my daughters hooked on Nancy Drew but they don't like them!!
Great job on this card and on finishing all of the challenges!
