Patricia (PH in VA) you were right with this inky challenge! Boy, did I make a mess! Patricia is the hostess for this Hope You Can Cling To challenge, and encouraged us to drip or spray a liquid ink so that the cardstock gets inked with dots or spots. At first, I tried a spray ink, but didn't like the effect. Then tried a re-inker in a spray bottle. Not what I wanted. Finally dripped a small puddle of soft suede reinker, dipped a brush in the ink, and splattered it on the crumb cake cardstock for the background. (and also splattered it on the desk, wall, and nearby electrical outlet--heehee!) I was really pleased with the outcome though--hope it shows in the photo, as none of my photos are turning out very well today!
Are you playing along with us? If not, you're missing out on the chance to lift the spirits of women battling breast cancer at MD Anderson, and also on more than $5000 in prizes from your favorite crafty companies. So what are you waiting for? Get to stamping!

I'm glad you were persistent because your card turned out very nicely! The rich cherry really pops against the warm neutrals. The embossing complements the visual texture of the woven basket, and the lace and ribbon give a soft touch. Thanks for taking part in HYCCT!

I love your soft and subtle colouring of this beautiful image! Your paper choices are perfect and that antique look ribbon and lace holds it all together splendidly!
