 | | Can I just say that I LOVE the way this turned out? If you had seen the first attempt, you'd know the issue was in doubt for a bit there. But changing out the c/s and a few colors proved to be the charm.
Got to use several of the techniques from the OCC Copic Markers class I took a few weeks ago -- using grays to add shading, putting down very light color where you want to have highlights, using colorless blender solution to add texture and using markers to create clouds in the sky.
After coloring the grass with a base of YG23 followed by YG25, some YG01 and some C7 and C4 for shadows, I used the colorless blender solution on a paper towel to create some texture in the grass. Then inked up portions of a grass stamp (Posh Impressions -- how old is THAT? LOL!) in Lucky Limeade and stamped randomly for more texture still.
Sponged the sun/moon with Hero Arts and Distress Inks.
For the clouds, since I cannot draw to save myself, I used a treat topper from TCP that was sort of cloud shaped to cut out a pattern for my clouds. Used BG10 to draw my lines and BG0000 to feather out the line.
Put some glossy accents on their eyelids to add a little extra definition. Went over the shaded sections of the pumpkins and the sun/moon with clear Wink of Stella pen.
Finished off the card with 3 little amethyst gemstones.
