Hello everyone,
Here is my card for the 1424 challenge. This challenge can be found here:HYCCT1424 Resist, being resilient, shining through, coming out on top! Chat Thread by Stamperrobin at Splitcoaststampers
This card has two different resis techniques. The bg was done stamping and embossing then run through Dylusion inks on a kraft sheet. I ironed off the embossing between newsprint so it's flat and matte IRL. The die cut has lines drawn on with white crayon then colored with distress inks. I tried it with Copic markers but it did not work for me. Maybe it's the alcohol, not sure why. People think that orange is my favorite color but it isn't. I love looking at fall colors but I love wearing purple and aqua/turquoise colors. I don't have a favorite though because I really do love them all!
Thanks for looking!

Robin, this is so pretty...I love the colors. You did an awsome job on the background. I don't have a lot of luck with orange, and it looks do great on this card.

Oh my! This card just glows! I really like the symmetry of the design. The wonderful sentiment panel balanced by that amazing leafy swirl! This is an eye catcher for sure Robin!

The colors on this are so pretty!! I love how you did the resist on the delicate leaves..wow! Thanks for today's challenge...I enjoyed reading your bio and seeing you and your hubby.
Such an interesting dual resist technique. So very artistic. I especially like the placement of the die cuts and sentiment. Quite a work of art, Robin. Thanks for the fun challenge.

Beautiful, Robin!! Your command of color is enviable. Lovely use of various techniques to show some of the possibilities of different resist techniques.

This is a striking card, Robin. And I agree with both Linda and Sallie's comments. Autumnal color palette's are some of my all time favorites, so this card caught my eye right away. Beautiful background and great crayon resist. I find distress inks, distress markers, and all kinds of watercolors do best with resist techniques. It was a wonderful challenge, Robin, thank again for hosting.
