This is for Lori's deLIGHTful HYCCT1401B challenge.
This is my 3rd attempt for Lori's challenge. My first one I used embossing paste, then spritzed it with color after it dried and placed an intricate die cut over the top. OH. MY. FAIL. The second looked similar to this but had some alignment issues. I am not sure what possessed me to try a third one!
I titled this card "Sentiments Matter" because I used the failed card as an experiment today. I have a sinus infection and my hubs was incredibly stressed this morning so I decided to place the failed card in the rooms that we were in so I could put my mind on something positive. Later in the day my husband was quite cheerful. He said he noticed the card. When I asked him if it worked he said, it did. Tonight as he was heading to bed he made a joke about today being the best day ever. Sentiments Matter.

This card is so cheerful! If I had not heard the background story, I never would have guessed you struggled with it.
Makes you kinda wonder... if these galleries could talk...
*wink*

What could be better than a glorious sun in the sky? We have had such a grey and damp 6 months that any time the sun shines everyone feels better. That sentiment is spot on! The power of suggestion I guess but I love it! Beautiful card!

You did an outstanding job with the sun rays, Angie! It's really hard to get it to come out right when you get all the way around the circle. This will surely brighten someone's day (besides your DH). Such an awesome sentiment. Yes, words matter.

I am still trying to figure out how you did that stitched thing that is just SO cool...Is this a specific die that does that and also has the sentiment embedded or did you some how achieve that awesome affect all on your own? OK, so I got a little sidetracked... Your sun rays are VERY well done (should I say perfection?) AND your sentiment ROCKS! Loved hearing the story of the making of it...Glad to know I am not the only one will re-make a card 3 times! We are so happy you stuck with it because your out come is AMAZING! LOVE LOVE LOVE..
