Hi All,
I wanted to do the etching for Sabrina's challenge and also the CAS for Brenda-Tessaduck so I decided on this card: WT496 gold by tessaduck at Splitcoaststampers
It has a large rose on it and a wrinkly kind of paper in the bg. and gold. The gold was perfect (with sparkles) for the 500 celebration of TLC and the large flower perfect for the flower I wanted to etch. I did cross hatching in the very shaded areas and straight lines on the other. My center has gold Stickles and white marker. the bg was wrinkled then sprayed with watercolor and water then I kind of dipped it onto some Dylusions sprayed on a kraft sheet, dried and ironed to flatten. I edged my orange bg layer with embossing fluid and ran it through gold tinsel powder and heat embossed. I did the same on the Happy Birthday but less of it.
Thanks for looking and hope you like it Brenda!! Couldn't pass up this chance to honor you my friend...you are so sweet and so helpful to everyone!!

What a beautiful California poppy yellow you've used - although with that gorgeous background it also reminds me of the little bright yellow water-lilies we get here. Great etching and a beautiful sunshiny happy card .

Robin, this is stunning. I would never reach for this color combination but it is just magical. That little bit of etching adds so much. I am seeing a lot of that today and I predict that all of us will be etching our blossoms from now on.
