 | | This is primarily for Birgit's MIX86 Faux Marble challenge, but I've also covered Robin's F4A challenge by adding two cardinals, and Cathy's stencilling challenge from yesterday.
This is a bit rough and ready but it's been a long tough week with a busy weekend ahead. The red door is wrong - I'll probably try to make it yellow too! The dark green I used initially was worse ;-).
Base - taped down the stencil and misted with homemade mister topped up liberally with Tumbled Glass re-inker to coordinate with the main panel. I stamped a snowflake in each hexagon, and edged it with a nearly-dead gold leafing pen. Added a sentiment.
Main panel: I made my faux marble as per Birgit's instructions, using light (90lb) watercolour paper, homemade mister and Tumbled Glass ink direct to paper. I added some white acrylic paint and a sprinkling of Flower Soft to the snowy foreground of the diecut. Diecut is edged with Stickles. |
