Ha! I am chuckling to myself. Did you notice the two techniques I listed? How is it possible to use crumpled paper AND wrinkle free distress??
First I crumpled the paper, then I opened it up and swished it through inks that were spritzed with water(wrinkle free tech as titled here in SCS tutorial) After my paper dried, you aren't going to believe what I did for this crumpled paper challenge! LOL I Ironed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a beautiful design! As already mentioned above that blue tone is perfect for an icy look to go with your pretty snowflake. Your slightly schizoid techniques worked perfectly for you!
