Lydia gave such a cool challenge for the MIX challenge! Once I saw Dini's gorgeous card, I knew I wanted to try this for sure!!!
I followed the steps by taping off my water color paper, but I used water color pencils instead. I added the water and then the rice immediately. Maybe I should have let the water set the colors better

Anyway, very cool look! I made a second card with purple and blues using the same technique because I like it so much!
Thank you Lydia and Dini for teaching me a new technique!

Beautiful card, Kathleen, and it's so good to see you in the gallery! Wonderful example of this rice technique, I love the colours with the leafy branch and of course, this VERY encouraging verse of Scripture!

What a lovely card! I like the orange & red palette but I imagine it is just as pretty in the purple and blue. You've set the sentiment just right, and I like that you used a leaf spray instead of flowers. I think the leaves give a more subdued look that I really like.
