This is a sample for the Stamp Etching technique - you can find that tutorial HERE.
I had this rose background done (using the embossing folder stamping technique) for a DTGD challenge, and it got buried and forgotten on my desk. I stamped over it with the Penny Black image, and added some lines to the petals and leaves with a drawing pen for an etched look. Each leaf and flower was then covered with a Sakura glaze pen - when dry, the glaze resists water and it's perfect for masking small areas when watercoloring or sponging dye inks. I did a wash over the image with dye reinkers, and rolled my roll of drywall tape through the wet ink for more texture in the background. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, one of our member companies.

*Big sigh* You are Amazing! I learn something with each one of your creations. I love the image and the gradient color on this piece. There is such a beautiful balance to this. Top notch, Dina.
OH! What a fun trick!!! Thanks so much for sharing your creative ways with us. I want to try this. Ummmmm I am lazy I guess, I really hate cutting and masking lots images. When I saw this gorgeous creation, right off I was curious which technique you used on the flowers and leaves as they are lighter in color than the bg! Woohoo, I am going to try this!
