To make my card ... I first used an Andy Skinners stamp for the bkgrd. I stamped the MFT tree swing and pup and colored them with markers/watercolor pencils (see supplies.) I used my white wc pencil to add distress to the "denim" overalls. As well, I masked the overalls and used another of Andy's stamps to add texture to them. I stenciled the MFT sun in the corner. I stamped the PTI grass in two greens and then colored the PTI flower stamps with markers and stamped them. I distressed the edges of the panel with Tim's distress tool. With a Ranger distress ink pad, direct to paper, I inked the edges. I find direct to paper gives a bolder colored edge than sponging and that is the look I wanted. Added the dp and image panel to my base. Decorated the inside and ep with a little more stamping. I will add a sentiment inside when I know the occasion and to whom I'm mailing it.
Thanks for looking!

Oh my goodness Gabby, this is soooo wonderful. This must have taken ages, I got tired just reading your description LOL. I always appreciate your descriptions Gabby, I never fail to learn from you. Love the tip about direct inking the edges. Everything about this makes me smile, thanks so much for joining in my sweet friend.

Your background stamp is lovely. It makes me think of batik, the way you can cover a large area with wax and crackle it. You've distressed those jeans perfectly, too.

I have been hit and miss in the gelleries lately, and somehow I missed this adorable card. The dp looks like tile and looks fantastic with your coloring. Wow...you sure used a lot of techniques and they all turned out so well. As a new fan club member I haven't looked in those galleries yet.
