I wanted to do something a little different and got to wondering what the American National Flower was...well, it's a rose.
The rose was designated the official flower and floral emblem of the United States of America in 1986. The rose has been around for about 35 million years and grows naturally throughout North America.
I was lucky enough to find this clipart and bingo! We are also to "stick a flag on your card". I hope my flag ribbon qualifies. Challenge police?
Have a great day and a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend....say a prayer for those who serve!

This is very unique and thanks for the information about the national flower. Love the way you have wove the flag print ribbon across the bottom of your card.

Vicky, I really like your card "that is a little different".....and shows you put some real thought and research into it. Thanks for the history of our national flower. Your rose bud image is fantastic....and the ribbon couldn't be better.
