I made this for Ky's super-fun Faux Tile MixAbility challenge. I used the technique as shown in her first set of photos, but because I wanted quite fine "grout" lines, I used quilters tape which is narrow and low-tack.
I put the tape over some white card, and then pressed Versamark over the whole thing. With a knife I scraped two colours of green chalk pastels over the bottom, and smudged them in with my fingers. For the top I used two yellows, a blue and a grey. Then I stamped Gorgeous Grunge in red to add some wildflowers to my meadow . I sprayed it with fixative, so that the chalk wouldn't end up smudging onto my clean white lines.
Removed the tape, trimmed to size and layered it on the base card. Stamped the sentiment and added the popped-up sheep.
Time to get back to the kitchen, but after a week when I had practically zero stamping time I was so happy to get inky (or at least chalky) this morning.

I love your colors and your tiles Sabrina!! The way the colors are so blended really makes the tiles look realistic. I love the cute sheep and the red spots you added.

I love the soft colors of your background and the clever way you did this! I do agree that the "kitchen" can spoil a fun craft day! Wonderful job on the challenge!
