These are for the vintage swap. When I was a little girl in the 1940s (yes I am vintage) and visited my granddaddy, I would see the beautiful silhouettes hanging over the fireplace. The background was a sunset in pastel colors, and the silhouettes were painted on the domed glass in front. I would stare at them from different angles and just loved them.
So I used water color paper and pastel water color paints to make the background. The silhouettes are printed on inkjet transparencies, and popped up to give to depth. I used a shiny black cardstock for the base, and used a corner punch to get the designs in the corners. I thought that was enough embellishment.
