 | | I had so much fun playing with techniques and layers to hit 3 challenges in one. From Friday's Mixability technique, I wanted to add some blue over the black brayering on some other sheets but then had blue paint leftover on my brayer so put it onto a piece of white cs. I had used 3 blue paints and it made an interesting bg. I decided that rather than do the full serendipity technique with layered torn paper, I'd start with my layered paint mix instead. I then randomly stamped the flourish in Eggplant, Script in Indigo and spatter in Navy, I then stamped my leaves in silver and embossed in silver ep. I loved the overall look so decided to go with strips rather than shapes. I layered each one onto Eggplant with a very narrow border. These are layered onto my Indigo base. I cut an Eggplant tag and glued my lattice die cut piece onto it. It looked too bare so I smooshed my silver ink over it then moved the die cut and layered it over the stencilling. The rest of the pieces are scraps from my leftover pile. The tag top layer way from my DD's wedding decorations and I cut my already punched tag from that then cut a bit more off the top to show the border punching. I had a sponged sky piece that I used the punch to cut up and then stamped over it. Layered some Eggplant and silver cord together for accents. I think I'll save this aside for DD's anniversary. |
