 | | This is for today's WT challenge -WT454 Em, Boss, To Resist is Not Futile.
For this card I tried out the Magic Snowflake technique.
I used Peacock Feather and Faded Jeans as my reinkers, and wow - it really was magic.
Since you add rubbing alcohol to the cotton wool, I thought this should work with alcohol inks rather than regular reinkers and gave it a try. I'm pretty sure that was the only variable I introduced, but for some reason I didn't get the magic reappearing effect. Ho hum...
Base is embossed with a snowflake ef, maybe hard to see in the photo. Snowflake hexagons are outlined with a Sakura Stardust pen and popped up on foam. Snowflake panel matted on black and popped up on foam too. I tried a hexagonal "magic" panel but liked he square better. I finished it off with a gem in the centre, and a little tag with a silver bow.
I'll definitely be trying this technique again - must find a local source of glossy card!! |
