 | | Today's HYCCT challenge is by my sweet friend Holly, and her challenge is to SPARKLE!! I spent many hours creating this and I know some people will think it's spooky, but I love it! Here in Texas, sugar skulls are a beloved tradition during October, leading up to Dia de los Muertos. Bakeries make real sugar skulls out of real sugar, but they are also painted, stenciled, papier mached onto everything - we just love them. It's just a Tejas thing
I used a stencil I got in Santa Fe from The Crafter's Workshop and sponged Whisper White Craft ink through it to help me see what I was doing. Colored on top of it with pencils on the outside, and then filled in the skull part with glitter. It's so sparkly and fun in real life!
TFL!
