HYCCT1327-Great-Aunt Jean's Quilt-sj929

This card was made for a challenge to Honor your Elders. My great-grandmother and her two daughters, my grandmother and great aunt were all quilters. I have several of their lovely quilts. My all time fav is a purple and white one my Great-Aunt Jean made for my mother the year I was born. Mom passed it down to me when I got married. It is my go-to blanket whenever I am feeling under the weather.

Pamela, your quilt card is beautiful!!! I love the embossing and the wonderful sentiment! I am so glad you shared about your family, especially your Great Aunt Jean! Sounds like she gave you a gift greater than gold, she gave you love! My sincere sympathy for your loss. But I am so glad you honored her and gave us a chance to get to know your Great Aunt Jean a little bit!

Love the paper quilting. The embossing just makes it perfect. Your aunt would have loved it.

I'm sorry I read what you wrote after I put in my comment. My grandmother and her sisters made a quilt that I too was handed down. They are really special as it takes so much work to complete one. I'm sure you must have enjoyed making this card. :>)

The soft purple and white are such comforting colors. The embossing makes it look like a real quilt.
