I LOVE this technique! Great way to use up my scraps! I cut & glued strips of various scrap papers in shades of orange. Then I used a die & cut out a butterfly from the square of orange. I cut the overlay from a piece of black CS & glued it on. I painted the BG using Twinkling H2Os, popped up the butterfly, added sequins, & wrote 'Hello.' Then, I die cut another (solid black) butterfly to fill in the empty space & added a black frame. I added black velvet ribbon on the bottom, & black & orange pearls. Two cards for the price of one! TFL!

Don't know which one is Myrtle's b.d. card but they're both beautiful and she's sure to adore either one! Like your selection of orange, pieced papers from which you die cut the Monarch. So beautiful! And the silhouette butterfly against the orange bkgrd is very nice.
