 | | I'm a little out of sequence but wanted to spend a little more time on this one with the colouring.
This is the second challenge of HYCCT and it was to make a card using red or orange or both, I've gone with both.
Every time I think of red and orange I think of poppies so this card was inevitable.
I stamped the poppy image four times on a strip of blending card coloured it with my Copic stamped the words and then sponged the edge, first with SU Crushed Curry then SU Tangerine Tango and last with SU Real Red. I mounted this onto some SU Tangerine Tango and then put this onto the card base made from SU Real Red card stock.
I then went over the stems with a Copic Spica pen - Olive, I also went over the words with Copic Spica pen - Pitch Black, high lighted the stamen with the pitch Black pen and then put a little bit of Stickles Diamond Black
To finish the card off I sponged another strip of blending paper the same way as the front and mounted it onto some SU Tangerine Tango and then mounted this on the inside of the card for someone to write a greeting on.
I had great fun doing this card and each time I look it raises my spirits, I hope it has the same effect on other people. Thanks for a great challenge Lori and thank you everyone for looking.
