 | | I'm having great fun with my new stamp set, which I have long admired. I had not intended for this to be a matching scene trio initially, but after the first 2 cards seemed to go together (centre & right) I decided to run with it and make a 3rd one (left). I was tempted to keep going...! No greetings yet. I boobed the last one with an ink blotch on the white area, so that put paid to offering this one layer set to a magazine, so instead you all get to have a squiz!
Masked the main areas, then sponged tumbled glass distress ink over most of the area, leaving an area to sponge the sand. Masking the horizon, sponge darker blue ink and a touch of turquoise too. Sponge on more light blue, blending the sea colors. Sponge a little rise in the foreground, first with green ink, then a touch of dark brown. Remove the horizon masks, stamp the birds, ducks and grasses. Stamp the geese/ducks? on scrap paper, sponge lightly with the same sandy color, trim & pop up with foam tape.
So for the Heatwave central theme: hit the beach this weekend!
And for the blue tones Color combo this week, love that! |
