 | | Not inspired by any one bead in particular, but simply bu the fact that the silver beads were a cinch for Monday's TLC, and I wanted to try something more feminine with this technique!
5 3/4" cream base, double scoring round the edges and then stamped with IO Vines - supposedly in soft grey, but I must not have cleaned all the green ink off properly last time.
I made my metal panel by first cutting a square with the circle aperture from a cereal box, and embossing with SU Square Lattice. I layered this on another square. The flower, leaves and flourish are all from Spellbinders, the flower petals were embossed with Provocraft Textile. I added the foil tape, used my old Fiskars rolling tool that came with the texture plates way back to add some definition, and then added black acrylic and some luster rub-ons. A pearl for the centre of the flower, and a little butterfly punched from my tomato paste tube to finish it off.
Oh yes - it's layered on a dark green Fleur de Lis square. |
