This week's Queen for the Day challenge is to celebrate past queens with SCS names A-B. I chose Angela (aka Arizona Maine) as I never had a chance to CASE one of her cards when she was Queen for the Day. I love what she does with fussy cutting vellum and had never tried it myself. So I looked at her lovely cards using vellum flowers and couldn't choose - I've ended up CASEing two of them.
What I've discovered is that fussy cutting vellum is far easier than fussy cutting paper or cardstock! So I'll be doing more of it in future.
I changed it to a Christmas card but like Angela, I used an embossing folder on the cardbase with space in the centre for the image. I stamped my image inside the embossed frame and heat embossed it in white. Then I stamped and heat embossed it again on white vellum and fussy cut the three large snowflakes and placed them over top of the ones on the card. My tiny "let it snow" stamp fit perfectly in one of the areas of the embossing folder.
It's also the first card for my August quota for SCS Christmas Card Challenge and is also for Merry Monday's July challenge of Anything Goes for Christmas.

I saw your lovely Christmas card on Always playing with paper Merry Monday - you might also like to enter this into my CHNC challenge extra for July - I'd love to see it there too. x
