This week's Queen for the Day challenge is to celebrate past queens with SCS names A-B. I chose Angela (aka Arizona Maine) as I never had a chance to CASE one of her cards when she was Queen for the Day. I love what she does with fussy cutting vellum and had never tried it myself. So I looked at her lovely cards using vellum flowers and couldn't choose - I've ended up CASEing two of them.
What I've discovered is that fussy cutting vellum is far easier than fussy cutting paper or cardstock! So I'll be doing more of it in future.
I was inspired by Angela's use of a flourish with fussy cut vellum pieces added to it. I stamped the flourish and sentiment on white cs with aqua ink and heat embossed it with a shimmery ep. I stamped my snowflake stamp on aqua coloured vellum and heat embossed in white, then fussy cut the three large snowflakes and added them to the flourish. I mounted the panel on deckle-cut aqua shimmer paper and then a white cardbase.
It's also for Merry Monday's July challenge for "Anything Goes Christmas Cards" and my SCS August Christmas Card Challenge quota.

I saw your lovely Christmas card on Always playing with paper Merry Monday - you might also like to enter this into my CHNC challenge extra for July - I'd love to see it there too. x
