MIX21 A Motley Crew

I got a late start on this as we had a big storm overnight and my power was off from 4am-11am (don't worry I did not open my fridge!). I was really wanting to see what the MIX challenge was for today but I had to wait...As it turned out..it was a really fun one!! I used TH Distress stains for my bg, then applied thinned white acrylic paint. I added some more and then I used a stencil and sprayed some of Mister Huey's color mist on top (yes Sallie, Mister Huey and I are now acquainted ;) ). I also added more stain on top of some dry wall tape. I then added some doodling around the edges of the photo stamped image. Thanks for the video Ky...awesome challenge!

Hi gallery neighbor! Love the image and your doodling around it really makes it pop! The background looks awesome great colors and use of the technique. Take care Polly! Hope the storm didn't do any damage!

Sorry about your power outage. I hate when that happens. Love what you put together after reading the challenge. Your bg is super cool. Love the image with your doodling all around. This is marvelous! Love it! TFS :0)......so glad you didn't open your refrigerator too! hehe You are so smart.

I agree, these MIX challenges are always so FUN! LOVE your wonderful yellow/blue/green background! The feather is an awesome trimming and goes so perfectly with your sentiment! LOVE the doodling around your image, I think it is a nice compliment to the feather too! As always, FANTASTIC image!!! Super cool and original, for sure a Polly card!!!

Oh how FUN! I hate that your power was off, but sounds like you managed just fine. I love the gorgeous, rich colors, and that feather with the little jute tie is perfect!
