Thinking of Donna - MMTPT254
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: susie australia

It doesn't feel appropriate to write a story for this weeks Teapot Tuesday. My sincere thoughts are with Donna and her daughters.

I made this card for Donna when I was at craft camp (I will upload photos tomorrow and have a chat about that then). We were all given the latest range of papers by Kaiser craft along with a stamp set. I had limited supplies with me, so the window frame is made from cardstock scraps and the acetate was part of the packaging in the stamp set. I didn't have any ink suitable for stamping on acetate so I cut out the birdcage from the stamp set LOL.

I did have my leaf punch, hybiscus flower punch and my favourite awning punch with me (thank goodness). I scored the background paper to look like weatherboards. The vintage lady is a precut embelishment.

I just noticed when looking at the photo it is hard to tell this is a side step card (steps in middle section). The lady is placed on the first step - the second step is empty.

Thank you for looking ladies.

YAY! So happy to see your FABULOUS card in the gallery tonight Susie! You know, I was wondering if you skipped the step, it kinda looks like the center comes forward. But it either way, it is wonderful!!! Your flowers are just gorgeous and I am in AWE that you made the window with scraps!!! Love the vintage lady and the birdcage, both perfect for this week's theme! Another amazing card!!!

Oh, Susie, Victorian wonderfulness is all over this. Hard to believe you had limited supplies but I do understand that when we wish to reach for something in particular, it is frustrating when it isn't there. None the less, you aced it yet again! Your wonderful creation will be so appreciated by the recipient(s). Hugs!

I love that you used the acetate from the stamp set for your window! You know that saying "necessity is the mother of invention"...well you are the epitome of that statement! Amazing card with limited supplies. Can't wait to hear all about your adventure. This card turned out beautiful and I know they will appreciate it very much!!!

Susie what a fantastic step card you have made, love the window effect. You are right it doesn't seem right to make up a story, but I hope that Donna's daughter will know our love during this difficult time. Thank you for being a part of that.
