Colorwashed Poppies

I was inspired by a card Karen Barber made using this colorwashing technique so I decided to give it a try. Pretty results but kinda time consuming though. Embossed the poppies in white on kraft then colored them with white craft ink followed by SU inks/markers.

Lovely!! I remember Karen's card. I am going to have to go back to that card to read the detailed instructions - I can't picture how to paint the white pigment in the middle of the flower? This is so beautiful -- definitely worth the time it took! Blessings, Lela

My goodness, this is stunning! I love the soft colors and white embossing on the Kraft cardstock. I will have to look for directions for this colorwashing technique (although I really don't like time-consuming, the results are certainly worth it!).
