todays TLC416 challenge called for dry embossing on dp and then sanding it...I used square lattice ef and then sanded it with a paper bag... when I read that, I had my doubts, but it really works....after cutting all layers, I sponged each one with antique linen, then vintage photo then pumpkin pie to get the colour of the dp....I also added stickles to the candle flames...

What lovely rich warm colours - they make me feel that must be a butterscotch or caramel cake ;-). I didn't think that such a finely detailed folder would work but it certainly does!!

Wonderful b'day card, Marie-Alice. Your sanding of the DP and the EF you used makes it look like patterned burlap. Cute image and I like your big candle.
Wow, you did a lot of steps to get your results for your background and it is wonderful. Love that cute feline too.
