Several reasons for this card: To honor Polly, our newest Queen For This Week. She has a very unique style for creating cards. She uses so many layers and items on her cards to tell a story. I decided to make a collage (my way) in hopes this at least depicts a lil of her style. I could never match a Polly card, so I won't even try!http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2110814 Second: For today's F4A challenge to use leaves, and Last but certainly not least: An anniversary card for my husband (next Friday-38 years). : )
I stamped the wording in Sahara Sand, then proceeded with the leaves in Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron. I didn't like the Saffron so I went back and stamped over them with More Mustard. The sentiment & bee were stamped in Always Artichoke. I also sponged the edges with Artichoke and Sand, sponged the leaves with different colors and some sand on the light parts of the cs. Thank you for stopping by, and Polly, enjoy your royal reign this week! ~Roberta

Roberta, this is beautiful! I agree...I couldn't even attempt to duplicate Polly's style. She is unto herself in creativity with collage style cards. I think you did a fabulous job with making a leaf collage and I love the addition of the bee...unexpected in a "Polly way". Congratulations on 38 years! Your husband will love the card too.

A very Happy Anniversary to you and Mike! This is lovely..I'm always a fan of using script for a bg..it just looks so romantic. And those fabulous fall leaves in their rich tones look like they're falling..they're so pretty! Your little added bee is an adorable detail which I can easily see borrowing. Thank you so much my friend for making this day so special...I'm still in awe of being Queen but enjoying all the praise and kind words :)
