For this technique challenge we were to use pleated or ruched ribbon (from a flat ribbon). Since I am not much of a seamstress, I got out my lovely ribbon, a scrap of black cardstock and my good old stapler. I just make sure that the scrap is rectangular and smaller than the length and width of the ribbon I am using. I tuck under the end and staple. Then I make pleats staple and come back over the staples so they are all covered. Then, I tuck the trailing end so that the paper is covered there too. I glue the whole peice to the front of my card.
Hmm, guess I should have mentioned I had already made the "window" with a Spellbinders die. The lattice was a gift from Jennifer (Mother's daughter) I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to use it. The color was a little orange, so I am using the back side, which I colored with V01 Copic marker. She also sent me the two green flourishes (I know, how sweet!!!) and I added some glossy accents to each. The two smaller flowers are Prima and the center one is from my stash and I can't remember the name (ordered online from somewhere).
The sentiment stamp on the inside is from SweetNSasy. It reads, "For my beautiful friend" I have it on a deckled rectangle.
What a wonderful challenge Judy! Thank you for hosting and for your wonderful example! Thank you for stopping by to take a peek!

What a fancy window..the lattice and flower/flourish top remind me of what you might see in a beautiful well tended garden..so pretty! And your black pleated (staples..I would never have guessed) ribbon with the same green flourishes and flowers seems made for this card.
