 | | Joan challenged us to make a beach, Jen challenged us to use twine and I needed an anniversary card for DH. I have said for years that if we became wildly wealthy I'd want a pool with a cabana boy. His name would be Sven. DH knows this and just smirks on those rare occasions when I make the comment. He knows that he is and always will be my Cabana Boy...
Cut the cabana from DCWV Fun in the Sun stack, using a protractor and scalloped scallops punch to shape the top. Accordion folded a second layer and "tied back" this with twine. Sponged the "inside" of the cabana with Vanilla to mute the colors. Masked and sponged the sea with Cool Caribbean and Bermuda Bay; the sky with Baja and Bashful Blue. Added some white waves with gel pen.Glued Michael Strong sand to the beach. PC generate the "ad" and circled with red Copic. Popped the cabana top and sentiment on glue dots. PT - 1
This is Jen's swan song as CAS Challenge Hostess. If you can, please make a card to show her appreciation for all that she has done for SCS. Thanks you all for looking and have a peaceful day. |
