MMTPT198 Idyllic Countryside
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: mother's daughter

This week our cards are going off to Ontario, Canada, to a gentleman that goes by the name of Gypsy. Gypsy is wheelchair bound, so we're sending scenes of the country to him.

This is a nice scene of the hot air balloons over Sonoma County, Ca. Maybe a little earlier in the season, as the hills have already turned a light shade of brown. It's still beautiful here, though.

I've torn the green textured c/s to make the layers of countryside. I cut a second layer of the tree in green to get the new branches and leaves. The bushes are in full bloom. Those are from the smallest sizes of circle and oval dies, with little blue dots of fabric paint. The balloons are done on metallic c/s that I colored with alcohol inks. Those itty bitty butterflies you see, they are from the second size of the butterflies circles dies. I have quite a collection of tiny butterflies.

I hope that Gypsy enjoys all the views of countryside that are coming his way. This is just a sampling from my piece of the planet.

This is so beautiful...so many neat details. I had that Memory Box tree die, in my hand at a recent stamp show I had the priviledge of attending...but I was already way over the budget I had set, so I put it back...Now I wish I would have gotten in anyway...LOL. It looks so good on your card. and you would have to mention Sonoma, I was there on vacation 5 years ago...and it was so awesome...wish I could back sometime...don't think it will happen though...Oh well, I can look at your card and dream...

What a fabulous scene, Jennifer, so creative the way you added the balloons and die-cut tree to your pretty torn hills with the flowering bushes...this really is bringing the "great outdoors" on to a card!!
