 | | The challenge today was perfect for me to honor a few Queens that I have missed. I don't usually combine such challenges but I have missed almost 100 and there would be no way to catch up and honor each one separately. I'm sorry upfront if this hurts anyone's feeling. I have tried to do my best and I hope each one of you can see the inspiration you gave me.
First Congrats to all three Queens. I am very familiar with each galley and love all three, for different reasons.
Queen Charlene, QFTD108. I was introduced to Charlene's gallery through the challenges on SCS. It is an honor to case a card from her wonderful gallery. She has always been sweet to me with her comments. This was the first card I found, I love the CAS style and the cute little bear with his balloons.
Queen Lisa, QFTD96. I have admired Lisa's galley for as long as I can remember. I love the fun and creative cards she always seems to come up with. One day I saw a Skype banner on SCS with a cute cloud bg, a few minutes later I was peeking through Lisa's galley and wouldn't you know it, there was that same cloud bg on a card. So I knew which card I had to case ... I tried sponging it but it just didn't look clean so I cut it out and popped it up.
Queen Laurie, QFTD76. Pick your own queen. I picked Virgo5. I was introduced to Laurie's galley while I was a guest designer for Totallystampalicious. Love her style, her fabulous coloring and creativity. I had the same image as this card and thought I could make a easel card with the design.. I'll have to try the fold she used but that will have to wait for another challenge.
I popped up the cloud layer and the little elephant twice. I used fun bright colors and made an easel card. The elephant and balloons are a bugaboo image.
