This fun card was inspired by Retro sketch #6 posted a couple of weeks ago. When I saw the little house on the sketch, I remembered about my Merry Medley chipboard pieces. I covered the house with pink paper (from the hostess paper pack), wrapped a piece of Bashful Blue satin ribbon around it (can't begin to tell you how sad I am to see the satin ribbon go!!# and got the idea to add a yellow square rhinestone brad to create a window.
The sentiment is from a retired hostess set from a past mini, and I embossed it in white on patterned paper. I used one of the Bitty punches to add flowers around it. The flowers were punched out of patterned paper and I snipped little petals all around the center #between each scallop#.
The chipboard pack also includes clouds, so I added one of each size. I covered them with Whisper White Craft ink and to add texture, glued some white waffle paper #from the Occasions mini) on them, then sanded all around the edges with a sanding file.
Have you noticed how the striped paper goes from green at the bottom to blue at the top? I thought it was PERFECT to mimick grass and sky! As I was putting everything together, I saw the other punch from the Bitty pack and thought I could punch little smoke clouds to go over the house's chimney, and decided to use Silver glimmer paper.
