I'm mixing it up today for sure. A hat and a haiku. I chose to combine the color challenge, Wednesday sketch, and Flourishes challenge to create a little offering colored in grey scale for you. I thought it might be fun to try writing a haiku to go along with the card on my blog (complete with a little giggle).
I didn't have either the Basic Grey or Sahara Sand so did my best to represent the colors. I used very little of the sand color on the first mat panel, and changed the orientation of the sketch to accommodate my larger scalloped circle. I used ribbon to represent panel #3 of the sketch by looping ribbon through a Ribbon Tags Trio die cut, adding some half pearls, a rose with two leaves and a stick pin. I think it's a nice way to compliment the hat band in the stamped image.
I love coloring in grey scale with Copics and thought it would be a nice compliment to the era and style of the hat included in the Feminine Charm stamp set from Flourishes.
Come visit me at www.summerwalkdesigns.com and learn about Japanese "On" and how it relates to haiku. And enjoy a giggle on me. : )

Thank you for including the color/numbers for your copics. I am trying to learn how to color backgrounds and am not very good at choosing the correct color.
