 | | Seems I am kind of stuck on Mark Twain quotes these days but the man was a genious so what can I say?
What a wonderful choice for the Featured Stamper this week. I am a huge fan of Harriet's work. When I first started on SCS, she was one of the people who would faithfully comment on my challenge cards. When you are a newbie, those comments are like pure gold (come to think of it, they are when you are veteran as well...# and hers were always so sweet and meaningful. On her own cards, she always experiements with colors and techniques so it is fun to follow her. The card I chose to case today is her sweet "May all your weeds be wildflowers" card:

I love the colors and the reverse masking on her pretty creation. I changed up the colors and sentiment, added some flowers #hope they look like violets - I tried hard and did lots of fussy cutting#, and added another layer or two.
I read another great forgiveness quote this morning - actually it was about anger. It said something like: anger is the only acid that does more harm to the container it is in than to the object it is poured on. I love that!
Congrats Harriet - you deserve this special gallery spotlight!
PT - 10 - possibly 11 if the punchie police let me count the circle die cut I had to make to do the reverse masking...
BTW - I used some really great bling on the flowers and at the bottom of my card. It is from a Zva Crystal Wheel. This is the first time I have used the wheel, and it it wonderful. There are different sizes of crystals and a lot of colors in the one wheel and it was sooooo reasonable. I got mine at Can You Digi It? |
