I've made backgrounds like this before and it's fun! It's kind of like finger painting when you're squishing the paper around in the distress inks. I love gingham and this background stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms is a favorite. Since my distressed background is rather bold I went with a black and white for the gingham. I love how it turned out. I hope you do,too.

What a super card, Polly. Love your orange technique bg with the black/white gingham. (Aren't those old CHF backgrounder stamps the BEST??!!) Love your simple flower too.
