I tried valiantly to use Karen Barber's tutorial Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers method for layered marker watercoloring, but I don't have the right paper for it....all three water color papers (not from SU) I had on hand pilled and shredded like crazy. I loved the look though, so I pulled out my Aqua Pen and Watercolor Crayons instead. I used Regal Rose, Riding Hood Red and Cherry Cobbler for the flowers and Wild Wasabi, Garden Green and Always Artichoke for the leaves and a Sahara Sand marker for the shadowing she recommended. I tore this piece (mainly because I'd messed up the left side but had kept going to keep learning) and sponged some Tempting Turquoise on the edges and around the flowers. I embossed the large Basic Black circle in the Square Lattice ef, the Pink Pirouette in the Striped ef and rounded the edges of the framing as well as the upper corners. I put some black gems in the corners. I embossed my sentiment in Versamark with black ep. It was still kind of bare at the bottom so I ended up using Versamark ink to watermark leaves on the whole card base.
