What a delightful sc Korin gave us today! I made my card a fancy fold so that it opens on the bottom half only. After sponging the sky a light blue, I kept singing that song for my title. I colored my chickadee with watercolor pencils and a blender pen, then I took my white gel pen to highlight some areas. Ok, confession time, that ugly dp that I thought I would never have any use for got used once again. Yep, and the UGLIEST of them all is on this card! Didn't think that would ever happen. Funny thing is, I actually like it here! I sponged that dp, used 2 ribbons and added 3 black faux pearls. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope your skies are always blue! ~Roberta

What a precious card, Roberta. Your little birdie looks puffed up to ward off the cold. Your coloring of him is gorgeous. I love the earthtones you used on your card to surround him too......wonderful faux woodgrain and the pretty soft yellow ochre.

The woodgrain dp IS perfect, Roberta...it's such a natural bg for your pretty bird...what a sweet little chickadee with lovely coloring and highlighting! Beautiful ribbon treatment and pearls, mf!!

Roberta, I don't see any ugly dp here at all. Your card is super sweet and oh so lovely. That birdie is a chubby little one that you colored very well. Speaking of birds, I was talking to my DD on the phone when out of the blue, my parakeet escaped from his cage and flew right at me! Since he is a biter, I was scared to grab him so off he flew again. Finally, using a towel, I was able to catch him and put him in his cage. Now back to your card, LOVE it! TFS :0)
