I have been walking past some dried plants in my yard and thinking about making a card using them. I had this awesome card by tankgrl in my favorites Just for you CC347 by tankgrl at Splitcoaststampers that featured some twigs from her yard. This card meets a few challenges including WT353 Use it or Lose it (CASE a card that you'd favorited) WT328 No White Cardstock WT337 Recycling WT341 Back to School Lunch Sack and WT334 I Love Kraft
I have a base of Kraft (Crumb Cake) then an Early Espresso framed recycled tissue box. The two strips are Sahara Sand stamped with the Weathered bg in Early Espresso. I stamped the oak leaves in early espresso on paper bag and sponged them with More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede. The others are stamped onto artichoke and mustard and also sponged. I had the red leaf already...looks like I'd embossed by stamping in Versamark then brown with clear ep. I tied a twill cheaters bow and distressed the ends and added a burlap string piece. The sentiment is on a scrap of Crumb Cake that was embossed with an inked Distressed Texturz plate. Lots of tearing, crumpling, sponging and distressing on the edges and leaves. Wish I'd put my bow up higher as in the original card, but I'm pleased with the result nonetheless.
