Floral Spray Baby Card
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: mamaxsix

I've been awed by Kittie's (Kittie747 Gallery at Splitcoaststampers ) awesome floral creations and when I was punching a strip with the lace ribbon punch the other day and noticed that the tiny leftovers include flowers that are shaped just like the 4 petal flower in the Bitty Shapes punch pack, I knew I had to try something with them. I loved the pretty colors in this bedding from today's inspiration site Land of Nod http://www.landofnod.com/kids-girl-b...-bedding/f4679
I used the oval from the Designer Frames ef set as my base in Whisper White, cut out then mounted onto a top fold Whisper White card base. The little leaves die cut is in Certainly Celery and I used Kittie's method of using a stylus to add veins and sponged them lightly.(Wish I had slightly smaller leaves, but this was the best I had on hand) I also added a Celery swirl from another die. I punched white and Pink Pirouette flowers using the 2 flowers from the Bitty Punches as well as the tiny ones and tiny circles from the Lace Ribbon punch. The daisy-like flowers I cut petals into then added the center. I used a marker to add pink centers to the white flowers and tiny pearls to add centers to the pinks. I used my stylus to indent the centers of the flowers.
I decided these colors would make a great baby card so I stamped my greeting in Celery at the bottom. Can't believe I'm making a baby card for my daughter's best friend from high school...my how time flies...my DD will graduate from college this spring and her friend will be a mommy by then!
*I called this CAS because of the layout, but it is a rather time-consuming process to punch, cut, shape and use the stylus to make the flowers/leaves not to mention gluing the tiny things!!!

This is so beautiful! Love the soft colors you've used. Like that you embossed the oval frame and then cut it out to add dimension - great idea!

You did a fantastic job on this card - I see Kittie's influence in it (I love her stuff too). So delicate and so beautiful! WOW!
