For CAS151 (Beverages), I used a new stamp which I bought because it reminded me of a teapot my grandmother had.
I stamped it, painted it with watercolour pencils, and mounted it on dimensionals.
The embossed background was done with a scrap of blue paper from an advertising flyer - it came out of the embossing folder looking distressed - somehow the embossing process rubbed off some of the colour. At first I was disappointed but then decided it adds to the old-fashioned look of the teapot.

It looks great, love that you are using something that would be thrown away. And I agree that the slightly distressed look is perfect, people spend a lot of money on special little sandpaper things to make that happen!
